What is Core Veneer?
Veneer core plywood is a product that is thinly sliced from hardwood to specific dimensions. It is considered the primary raw material for plywood manufacturers, who use it to produce various types of plywood ranging from packaging plywood to high-quality plywood for interior use.
Standard veneer is produced using a lathe, which peels the wood into thin layers, much like a pencil sharpener. Synthetic resin adhesive is applied to the veneer, and the layers are assembled with the wood grain of each layer at a 90° angle to the adjacent veneer. Then, with the help of a hydraulic press, the veneer layers are tightly bonded together, forming the plywood panel.
